Job Title: Clinical Services - Cardiology Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Experience circulating and scrubbing basic, intermediate, and complex interventional radiology cases required. NIR experience is preferred but not required. License: WI License required for RT(R) Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS; RT(R): ARRT, BLS Must-Have: - For RN: Experience with interventional radiology patients, ability to give sedation unless anesthesia is involved, monitor, and chart. - For RT(R): Scrubbing and panning simultaneously, experience with general interventional radiology cases. Experience with charging and coding for procedures is preferred but not required. Description: Experience circulating and scrubbing basic, intermediate, and complex interventional radiology cases required. NIR experience is strongly preferred but not required. Imaging equipment utilized includes GE and Siemens, along with additional equipment such as GE ultrasound, Boston Scientific IVUS, Siemens ICE, Angiojet, etc. The department is staffed 24/7, and all patients are adults; no pediatrics are seen. General interventional radiology procedures include kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central lines, PICC lines, ports, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, and coil embolizations. Additional supported procedures include cryoablation, CT biopsies, and drains, which are not performed at night. Experience with AAA interventions is preferred. Neuro interventional radiology cases include strokes and embolization; these are also not performed at night. On average, around 40-50 patients are seen daily. Travelers with one year of experience will be accepted for RN and RT(R) positions. First-time travelers will also be accepted if they have interventional radiology experience. The unit is supported by two receptionists and two coordinators. Additionally, there are two lead technicians and two technicians in each exam room, sometimes three if the case is involved. Respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and transport services are available 24/7. Experience with EMR is preferred for RN positions. Travelers will only take Neuro call if they have Neuro experience; otherwise, they will only take general interventional radiology call. Response time for on-call duties is 30 minutes. Currently, there are no holiday expectations, but this is subject to change. RTO approval is available for up to 7 days. The manager is open to altering shift times if necessary.
