Description:
Position is for a clinical services role in cardiology.
Candidates must be able to scrub and circulate basic, intermediate, and advanced interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment is preferred.
NIR experience is preferred but not required.
The facility is a Level III trauma center with a comprehensive stroke center designation.
The department operates 24/7 and treats only adult patients.
Typical cases include kyphoplasty, central line placements, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, coil embolization, and more.
On average, the department sees 40-50 patients per day.
Candidates will be responsible for monitoring and charting, administering sedation if necessary, and must have experience with the patient types described.
Support staff includes receptionists, coordinators, lead techs, tech specialists, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and transporters available 24/7.
The unit utilizes an electronic medical record system with a preference for EPIC experience.
Weekend rotation and on-call requirements include weekday and weekend shifts for both RN and RT(R) positions, with specific call frequency for travelers based on experience.
Travelers with neuro IR and general IR experience may be asked to take both types of calls.
The manager is open to adjusting shift times as needed based on staffing requirements.
There are no holiday requirements currently, but this could change.
Requests for time off are approved up to 7 days.
