Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Travel IR Tech for a 13-week contract assignment in Richmond, VA. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong critical care and procedural experience who thrive in a fast-paced interventional radiology environment.
Unit Details:
- Unit: Interventional Radiology
- Staff: Approximately 10 team members
- Equipment: Discovery 740 IGS
- EMR System: Meditech
- Work Environment: Team-oriented, fast-paced, and highly collaborative
Responsibilities:
- Assist with a variety of IR procedures including:
- Biopsies & Drain Insertions
- Angiograms & Peripheral Vascular Procedures
- Paracentesis & Thoracentesis
- Line Placements
- Myelograms
- Support additional imaging needs including CT Coronary and MRI Monitoring
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide procedural support
- Maintain patient safety and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed
Schedule & Call:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement:
- 1–2 nights of call per week
- 1 weekend of call every 4–5 weekends
Additional Information:
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Floating is unlikely but may assist in CT, MRI, or Radiology if needed
- Ideal candidate should be outgoing, self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
