Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: ARRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: First-timers accepted, No weekend requirement, Call required, Open to accommodating block schedule, Local candidates accepted Description: Cath Lab Tech needed for an interventional radiology position. Daily caseload ranges from 8-12 procedures. Types of procedures include coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, cardiac arrhythmias, coronary diagnostics, and interventions. Experience with permanent pacemaker placements is required. Candidates must have a good understanding of both cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures. Willingness to consider candidates with pending fluoro permits who have already applied for the permit at the time of submission is acceptable. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities during their assignment. Candidates must be willing to work two out of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Clinical skills required include hemodynamic monitoring, angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and central venous access. Candidates should also be proficient in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
