Job Title: Radiology Technician Special Procedures

Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred
License: Active Radiography accreditation from the state regulatory body
Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ARRT certification
Must-Have:
Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Intimate knowledge of sophisticated equipment involved in Interventional Radiology
Ability to work under pressure and react quickly and accurately to problem situations
Description:
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system as a Radiology Technician Special Procedures in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab departments.
You will take general radiographic films and assist with fluoroscopy.
You will assist in teaching radiology students and prepare charge slips and other required records.
This position is a 100% onsite opportunity and requires being based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist, you will perform all duties of a radiologic technologist and assist the radiologist in specialized procedures for inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
Call is from 15:30 to 07:00 the following day on weekdays and from 15:30 on Friday to 07:00 Monday mornings for weekends.
Call is shared with other technicians, and there are other technicians currently on staff.
You will be responsible for hemodynamic monitoring and various interventional procedures including PCI, ablation, and device implantation.
Knowledge of emergent arrhythmias and equipment maintenance is essential.
The environment supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various services.
