Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist
Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures and minimally invasive treatments
Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare procedure rooms, sterile instruments, and imaging equipment
Position and monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort
Administer contrast media in accordance with facility protocols and monitor for reactions
Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety guidelines
Accurately document procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist
Active ARRT certification required
State licensure in Kansas if applicable
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience preferred
Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
