Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, experience in Cath Lab cases is needed License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Fluoro Permit Must-Have: - Strong education and technical competence - Excellent patient interaction skills - Ability to integrate knowledge to execute safe and precise treatment Description: Follows clearly defined procedures to provide support to cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses for the execution and technical analysis of procedures performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab. Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise treatment under the supervision of a cardiologist. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families or support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local and state regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care. May be responsible for mentoring and training students.
