Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) Neuro Rad Tech
Location: New York
Pay: $2,400 – $2,800 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule:
4x10-hour day shifts
Weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback required per unit needs
Call: 1–2 shifts per week and 1–2 weekends per month
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Neuro Rad Tech for a high-acuity hospital setting. Candidates must have neurosurgery/neuroscience experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced interventional environment. IR experience is preferred, though candidates with strong foundational skills may be considered.
Responsibilities:
Produce high-quality diagnostic images using proper positioning and exposure techniques
Assist radiologists during interventional and fluoroscopic procedures
Prepare and educate patients for procedures
Administer oral contrast as needed per exam
Operate radiologic equipment including CR and DR systems
Monitor patient condition and ensure safety and comfort
Maintain equipment and report malfunctions
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
Utilize HIS, RIS, and PACS systems for documentation and image management
Maintain patient confidentiality and proper documentation standards
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience
Neurosurgery/neuroscience experience required
Interventional Radiology experience preferred
Active New York State license (required)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Certifications:
BLS (AHA required)
