Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring neuro and peripheral intervention experience and Epic proficiency at a Level I Trauma Center teaching hospital.

Details

  • Inpatient/outpatient Interventional Radiology department at an acute care teaching hospital
  • Department includes 4 angiography suites (two single-plane, two biplane), 1 dedicated CT scanner, and 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management
  • 13-week contract with 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday with 1 rotating day off
  • Possible weekend coverage required
  • On-call requirement includes one primary call shift per week and one primary call weekend per month with 30-minute call back time
  • Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Experience in neuro and peripheral interventions required
  • Epic charting system experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care within a comprehensive IR department offering minimally invasive procedures for vascular, neuro, and oncologic conditions
  • Work at a Level I Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients
  • Hospital is the region's largest with 703 licensed beds
  • Focus on precision, reduced recovery times, and providing alternatives to traditional surgery
  • All RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to assignment start
  • Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility (measured from driver's license address) are not accepted
  • Previous employees (per diem or permanent) must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Facility does not permit travelers to return after having worked 365 days on assignment, regardless of separation period, with case-by-case exceptions reviewed by leadership
