Job Summary: Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse is needed at a healthcare facility in Thornton, Colorado. The position involves providing specialized patient care in the interventional radiology unit, with a schedule of days and call responsibilities. The role offers an opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment and a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 1-year current acute care interventional radiology experience; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system; strong vascular access skills; PICC line or midline experience
Unit Description: The IR unit has 150 beds, staffed by a team of 5, including 2 interventional radiology registered nurses and 2 IR technicians. Typical procedures include vascular access, conscious sedation, thrombectomy, and other critical interventions. The environment utilizes Siemens single-plane c-arm equipment. On-call hours are from 5 PM to 7 AM on weeknights and 24 hours on weekends, with approximately 7-9 shifts per month.
