Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse Los Angeles, CA. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care within the interventional radiology department, supporting procedures such as cancer diagnostics, RLT (radioligand therapy), and post-procedure recovery. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including technologists and attending physicians to deliver patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an RN with strong understanding of radiation safety principles including ALARA; experience in interventional radiology, pediatric interventional, and cancer diagnostics preferred.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, dayshift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include caring for inpatients and outpatients, operating IV infusion pumps, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, and assisting with procedures such as procedural sedation, sheath removal, port maintenance, and administering pharmacological stress tests.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and triaging skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team that covers NM, PET, and RLT procedures.
• Additional Requirements: Experience with charting in Epic EMR system; knowledge of contrast extravasation, radiation principles, and ALARA.
• Certifications in implanted ports, PICC line care, procedural sedation, and understanding of radiation safety are highly valued.
