Job Summary

Join a dedicated team that provides moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area, focusing on preventative and interventional stroke care. The responsibilities of this role include administering intraoperative moderate sedation, circulating when not providing sedation, and closely monitoring patients' cardiac and physical status. Collaboration with physicians is essential to ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Job Duties

• Administer moderate sedation to patients undergoing procedures.
• Monitor patients' cardiac and physical status throughout the procedure.
• Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
• Circulate in the procedural area when not administering sedation.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

Job Requirements

• Active RN License in New York.
• Experience administering moderate sedation is required.
• Previous experience in interventional radiology is required.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred, particularly in a Level 1 trauma setting.
• Experience with telemetry is necessary.
• Ability to circulate in the procedural area is essential.

Certification(s)

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Work Schedule

This position may involve either 36 or 40 hours of work per week, with shifts of 10 or 12 hours. Availability for weekends and nights is part of the job responsibilities.
