Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with PICC and bedside procedural expertise for a day-shift position at a cancer hospital.

• Interventional Radiology unit within a cancer hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirements apply
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• PICC line and/or bedside procedural experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, central line insertion/management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with pulmonary studies/procedures, chest tube placement, and thoracentesis
• Experience with circulate procedures, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and administering medications, including emergency medications
• Procedural sedation administration/monitoring and reversal agent experience preferred
• Experience with special procedures, GI studies/procedures, paracentesis, scrub procedures, and cardiac cath lab procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within Interventional Radiology, supporting special procedures and cardiac cath lab cases
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict state requirements
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at this health system
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
