Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Trauma Level I facility, requiring PA or compact RN licensure and 2 years of IR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a Trauma Level I hospital setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On call required one weekday per week and every 7-8 weekends
• No floating requirement
• Special procedures include LVO-Thrombectomy, Embolization, UFE, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, G-tube/nephrostomy tube placements, lung/liver/kidney biopsies, TIPS, Y-90s, IVC filters, and dialysis access
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in vascular closure systems, sheath removal/monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Experience with central line insertion/management, PICC and port care, and IV therapy
• Knowledge of neurological, vascular, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary IR procedures
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration
• PA fingerprint clearance and Childline results within 12 months required prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Interventional Radiology suite supporting complex vascular and non-vascular procedures
• Circulate and assist with a wide range of IR procedures including embolizations, biopsies, stent placements, and dialysis access interventions
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred; charge experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off accepted afterward
• Candidates should provide a range of 3-5 days for interview availability
• Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of three attempts allowed
• Holiday coverage and on-call weekend rotation required as part of scheduling
