Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting, working on a Days shift schedule. This position involves providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, with responsibilities including IV starts and nurse sedation. The role requires experience in neuro (strokes and carotids) and nurse sedation, supporting adult patients primarily, with occasional pediatric cases.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; minimum of 2 years of IR experience; neuro (strokes and carotids) and nurse sedation experience; proficient in IV insertion.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, working a total of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: EMR system experience with Epic; familiarity with Phillips equipment.
• Responsibilities: Preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for IR procedures including IV starts, nurse sedation, and assisting with a variety of procedures such as embolization, Y90, neuro, carotid stents, stroke, nephrostomy tubes, ports, trans-jugular liver biopsies, G-tube and GJ tube placement, AV fistulas, paracentesis, cardiac CTs, abscess drains, bone marrow biopsies, dialysis, and MRI observations.
• On-Call and Floating: In-house during designated hours; optional call from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM on weeknights and during weekends; floating may be required for pain management duties once a week with separate orientation.
• Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs, with shoes to remain at work.
• Orientation: 2-3 shifts of department-specific orientation.
• Submission Requirements: License to submit; BSN preferred.
• Start and End Dates: 10/19/2026 to 01/18/2027.
