Job Summary Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a complex clinical environment with diverse radiological and procedural areas such as vascular, neuro, cardiology, and interventional radiology. The role requires performing procedure circulation, monitoring, and recovery procedures, with opportunities to assist in various radiology departments as needed.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience required.
Schedule: Pre-procedure and recovery shifts are four ten-hour shifts, noon to 10:30 pm, and 2 pm to 12:30 am, with an on-call duty once a week and every 3rd or 4th weekend.
Additional Information: Experience managing ventilators and pressors in procedure rooms is necessary. Candidates must be proficient with Epic electronic medical records and equipment such as GE MACLab and Siemens X-ray. Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring patients, assisting with procedures, and providing recovery care, including conscious sedation.
Preferred Qualifications: Nurses with prior experience in interventional radiology or hybrid OR settings are preferred. Candidates must be willing to wait for license submission and have flexible availability for variable day shifts.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
