Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab RN for a Magnet-designated acute care hospital requiring 2 years of lab experience and CA RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab department of a 426-bed acute care Magnet hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required approximately 7 days per month, including 1 weekend per month (Fri-Sun PM) plus 1 day per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (must be in hand at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an IR or Cath Lab setting, including in a 2-room lab within a 250-bed facility
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or CCI RCIS, and NIHSS
• Epic experience required for IR RNs; highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs
• Procedural sedation skills required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, within a comparable specialty/setting

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for interventional radiology and/or cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, vascular and neurological studies, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Free parking provided on-site
• May be required to float between sister facilities as needed
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have at least 2 years of lab experience (hard requirement)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at the time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
