Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification for a role in a teaching hospital's IR unit.

Details

  • Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of an academic, research-based tertiary care medical center
  • Serve outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU patient populations
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including a weekend
  • No floating required outside of scope

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IR Technologist required
  • Current BLS and ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Teaching hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency with PACS, C-Arm, contrast administration, and biopsies required
  • Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, peripheral and vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, and GU/abdominal/pelvic procedures required
  • Must be able to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, and snare kits
  • Experience with injector systems required, ACIST preferred
  • Experience with upper/lower extremity procedures required

Additional Information

  • Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including embolization, stent placement, vascular studies, and biopsies
  • Utilize Siemens equipment in daily procedures
  • Scrubs provided
  • Onsite parking available at no cost
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • RTO must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation are subject to manager discretion
