Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3-5 years of experience and NJ radiographic licensure for a Special Procedures department.

Details

  • Work in a Radiology Special Procedures department performing complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
  • Assist proceduralists via scrubbing, circulating, and retrieving complex products during procedures
  • Utilizes floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
  • Operates power injection of iodinated contrast media devices
  • Uses Epic EMR and sends images to Sectra/PACS system
  • PM shift schedule with 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • On-call required every 4th weekend and 1 day per week
  • May float to a sister hospital as needed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist
  • NJ radiographic licensure required if applicable
  • BLS certification from AHA or an accredited equivalent with skill demonstration
  • Current ARRT (R) certification required
  • High School Diploma/GED and Associate degree or completion of an accredited radiographic program
  • Strong critical thinking skills for neuro-interventional and complex cases
  • Proficient in maintaining sterile technique and infection prevention measures
  • Experience with groin management post-intervention
  • Strong closed-loop communication skills

  • Set up procedural trays and manage caseload in a fast-paced environment
  • Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
  • Document procedures accurately within the electronic medical record
