Unit Information: Interventional Radiology Dept Location: St. David's Medical Center Address: 919 E. 32 nd St., Austin TX 78705 Floor: Lower Level Building: Acute General Information Tell us about the unit(s):

  • Number of Beds - 438
  • Number of Staff – 7 FT Special Procedures / IR Techs (active), 6 RNs
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – Weekday: 5 IR Techs, 2 RNs (7a-5p or 7a-3p)
  • On-Call Night Shift / Weekends - 2 IR Techs 1 RN on Call
  • Patient Ratios – N/A
  • Type of equipment – Siemens Bi-Plane x2
  • EMR – Meditech (RIS system), Fuji PACS
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center
Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
  • Experience with general and neuro interventional radiology
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage shifting patient volumes throughout day
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
  • Experience with Neurovascular Intervention/ Stroke Care
  • Experience with Siemens Bi-Plane

  • Perm Cath/Dialysis Cath, Angiogram, Embolization, Mechanical Thrombectomy, Kyphoplasty
