Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience and ARRT certification for a cardiac interventional radiology assignment.

Details

  • Work in the Interventional Radiology department performing special procedures
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • On-call required with a 30-minute response time
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
  • Candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they have neuro IR and scrub experience
  • Current ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
  • ARRT (VI) and ACLS certifications preferred
  • Scrub experience required
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Proficiency with venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
  • Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, and IVC filter placement/removal
  • Familiarity with fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens equipment
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include prepping access sites, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and room circulation
  • Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
  • Maintain equipment and inventory, restock supplies, and manage PACS system
  • Lead tech experience is a plus
  • Orientation is held five days a week
  • Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least one full year before returning as a travel professional
