Job Summary
An Interventional Radiology Technologist position is available in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The technologist will ensure proper patient positioning, equipment operation, and patient safety during interventional procedures, supporting overall department goals.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology; 2 years of experience; valid ARRT certificate or equivalent certification such as Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; State license (Pennsylvania).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with contrast administration, patient monitoring, and aseptic technique during procedures.
  • Additional Information: Demonstrates proper patient identification, reviews physician orders, documents patient history, and ensures exams are properly coded, archived, and billed. Fosters an environment supporting safety and aseptic procedures, communicating clearly with patients and colleagues to ensure optimal patient care.
