Perform both invasive and non-invasive interventional radiology procedures
Assist physicians with biopsies, vascular, and peripheral interventions
Scrub and circulate/record during procedures
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging throughout procedures
Work collaboratively with nurses and procedural team in a 3-person room setup
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for IR procedures
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergent situations
Accurately document procedures in EPIC and MERGE systems
Maintain procedure rooms, equipment, and supply inventory
Participate in call rotation and support weekend/holiday coverage
Must-Have Credentials:
ARRT (R) certification
Active BLS (AHA)
ACLS certification
State radiologic technologist license (IEMA)
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
Ability to scrub and record independently
Highly Preferred:
Experience with peripheral vascular interventions
Patient Population:
Adult and geriatric patients
Procedures include biopsies and vascular/peripheral interventions
Work Environment:
4 dedicated IR procedure rooms
Separate pre/post procedural care unit
Collaborative team structure (2 nurses + 1 tech per case)
Additional Details:
Orientation: 1–3 days on unit
Up to 7 days off may be approved during assignment
First-time travelers considered upon review
