Interventional Radiology Technologist Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures related to interventional radiology, utilizing technical expertise and judgment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results. Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program; 2 years of experience; PA ARRT Certificate or a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification; Basic Life Support (BLS); PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73 certifications.

  • Additional Information: Performs imaging procedures with proper patient positioning, equipment operation, and patient monitoring. Supports other departments with general radiographic procedures as needed. Fosters an aseptic environment and supports patient safety through standardized protocols. Administers contrast agents under proceduralist guidance and communicates clearly with patients, ensuring understanding and cooperation. Proper patient identification and documentation are essential, along with accurate coding, archiving, and billing for all exams performed.
