Interventional Technologist I – Pediatric Cath Lab

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Interventional Technologist I to assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a Pediatric Cath Lab setting. The technologist will support interventional procedures, maintain sterile technique, operate specialized imaging equipment, and provide safe, high-quality patient care.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with interventional and invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, and other image-guided procedures.
  • Operate specialized radiologic and imaging equipment according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide comfort and support throughout the process.
  • Function as a scrub technologist during procedures and maintain a strict sterile field.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Perform post-procedure quality checks and ensure required documentation is complete.
  • Transfer images and technical data into appropriate electronic systems for physician review.
  • Perform equipment quality control, cleaning, disinfecting, and routine maintenance.
  • Participate in quality assurance, audits, and performance improvement activities.
  • Provide on-call coverage as assigned.
  • May assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members.

Requirements:

  • Interventional Technology experience required.
  • Cath Lab experience preferred.
  • Travel and trauma experience are NOT required; candidates without either may be considered.
  • Graduate of an approved post-secondary health science program, such as Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound, or Paramedic/EMT.
  • Entry-to-practice education must be clearly listed on the resume:
    • Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology, OR
    • 2-year RCIS program.
  • AHA BLS and ACLS required.
  • ARRT(RT), RCES, or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging, sterile technique, patient positioning, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and critical-thinking skills.

Important: Interventional Technology experience is required. Cath Lab experience is preferred, while travel and trauma experience are not required.
