Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist position is located in Palo Alto, California. This role involves providing scrub assistance during procedures, performing float duties as assigned, and operating angiography and ancillary imaging equipment. The technologist will be responsible for preparing patients and equipment, post-processing images, and ensuring accurate documentation to support high-quality interventional radiology procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified by the State of California Department of Health Services in Diagnostic Radiology; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; RTF California State Fluoroscopic Permit; minimum two (2) years of experience in Interventional Radiology; location in California.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intraoperative imaging techniques and ancillary equipment such as IVUS, US, EKOS, JETI, and ANGIO JET.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Performs routine cleaning of procedural area and equipment; verifies and completes all documentation accurately and promptly using Qsight and EPIC systems; efficiently operates ancillary equipment, including measurement devices; prepares for procedures by entering patient demographics, inventory setup, and supplemental inventory; sets exposure parameters on angiography equipment practicing ALARA by following correct imaging protocols; post-processes images with techniques such as re-masking, pixel shifting, and 3D reconstructions; and ensures images are sent to PACS in a timely manner.
