Interventional Technologist I - IR Tech
Job Details:
• Work 4x10-hour shifts schedule
• Call as needed with rotating day off per week
• 13 or 26 week contract available
• Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision of mentor/preceptor
• Provide specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
• Utilize specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment for diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures
• Transfer images and data to archival systems and enter technical data/findings
• Perform quality control checks, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment per manufacturer guidelines
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Must have completed Associate Degree or above in Radiologic Technology OR 2-year RCIS program
• Required certifications: BLS/ACLS and one of the following: ARDMS (RDCS or RVT), ARRT (Vascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or Radiography), CCI (RCCS, RCS, RCIS, or RVS)
• No travel or trauma experience required
• Ability to work in various care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient practices, and diagnostic centers
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
