Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Assist physicians during minimally invasive image-guided procedures
Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality imaging standards
Document procedures accurately within EMR and PACS systems
Monitor patient condition during and after procedures
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality imaging while following established IR protocols
Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain procedures and reduce anxiety
Ensure proper patient identification and exam verification
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Assist with inventory, equipment checks, and troubleshooting
Participate in on-call rotation as required
Must-Have Credentials:
ARRT (R) certification
Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (TX-MRT) license
BLS (AHA only)
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
Preferred Skills:
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and invasive procedures
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Experience with multiple imaging systems and procedural workflows
