Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology unit located within the operating room, featuring 3 single-plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
  • Additional procedures performed in a dedicated radiology room and CT suite
  • Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
  • Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, full-body angiography and intervention (excluding cardiac), Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography and intervention, image-guided biopsies, venous access (ports, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and various drain placements
  • 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Call required approximately 5-7 days per month, with weekend requirements limited to on-call coverage
  • EPIC charting system used
  • No floating to like units required within this specific role

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
  • BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ACLS and ARRT (VI) preferred
  • WA State License required (License required if applicable)
  • Compact license must be active and in hand at time of consideration
  • Required skills include venous access, angiograms, nephrogram, and contrast administration
  • Preferred skills include C-arm operation, biopsies, ablations, and kyphoplasty
  • Experience with genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, vascular, and neurological IR procedures preferred
  • Proficiency with sterile technique, equipment setup, and PACS system
  • Experience with Siemens equipment preferred

Additional Information

  • Facility is a Level II Trauma Center encompassing outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services
  • Scrubs may be any color except reddish-orange
  • Facility-paid parking provided
  • First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
  • Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility
  • Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
  • Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, including Charge RNs or Leads where applicable
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
  • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
