Job Summary
Travel Vascular Access Nurse - IV Vascular Access (IV VAS) in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized vascular access services across various patient populations, including neonates, adults, and geriatrics. The position requires flexibility to float between units as needed and adherence to established clinical standards and protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 2 years of experience in IV vascular access, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), proficiency in adult inpatient care, Aseptic Technique, Central Vascular Access Device Management (ports, PICC, tunneled catheters), ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level II units, community hospital settings, and travel experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role includes performing ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions, PICC line placements (no PICC placements during night shift), and managing various vascular access devices. Candidates must prioritize safety and infection control standards. The assignment duration is from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027, with a requirement to work three out of five major holidays.
