Job Summary
IV Vascular Access Nurse - Location not specified. This role involves providing specialized vascular access services in a healthcare setting. The nurse will perform procedures such as PICC line insertions and maintenance, ensuring patient safety and optimal vascular access outcomes. Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift with hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, based on departmental needs; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric IntraVenous (PICC) certification, along with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; active licensure with Nursys recent within 2 weeks; at least 2 years of experience in vascular access or related field; ability to work in an adult inpatient environment, perform ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, and manage vascular access devices including ports, PICC, tunneled, and non-tunneled catheters.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vascular access troubleshooting, tip placement confirmation techniques (Chest X-ray, IC-ECG, TCS, Ultrasound), and patient/family education.
• Responsibilities: Performing vascular access procedures, ensuring proper device stabilization, dressing changes, flushing, and patency assessments; utilizing aseptic techniques; managing potential complications such as infection, pneumothorax, or thrombus; and supporting interdisciplinary teams with vascular access needs.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to complete required onboarding modules during orientation. All compliance documentation must be submitted 10 days prior to start date.
