Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Operating Room position requiring prior L&D OR experience and the ability to circulate C-sections.

Details

  • Work in the Labor & Delivery Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
  • Unit includes a 3-bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays
  • Cares for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients
  • Travelers will function in OBED, L&D, and OB PACU but will not circulate OR cases
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC)
  • Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE required
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • Previous L&D operating room experience required
  • Must be able to circulate for C-sections
  • Must be able to triage OB patients
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
  • BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide clinical nursing care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients following the nursing process
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Participate in patient and family education based on assessed learning needs
