Job Details:
Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, start times between 09:00 and 10:00, with end times between 18:30 and 19:30. Minimal weekly hours required are 36.0.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license to submit in Wisconsin. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience working on the Post Partum Floor.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner.
Additional Information: The position involves working in an acute care setting with a trauma level 3 designation. Units may require floating to outpatient surgery centers for similar patient care, such as endoscopy, orthopedic, and pain clinics. The orientation process includes 1-2 days of unit-specific training. The facility operates a heavy call schedule, requiring a minimum of two night shifts per week from 18:00 to 06:00 and one weekend every 2-3 weeks from Friday morning to Monday morning. The role includes charge nurse responsibilities and a shared team of nurse aides. Scrubs are provided, and a dedicated pair of shoes is required.
