Job Summary
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (L&D PP) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized postpartum care in a healthcare facility. The qualified candidate will support maternal and newborn health through direct patient care and monitoring, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience; graduate of an accredited nursing program; current Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring; IV skills and ability to perform lab draws; knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium, Oxytocin, Insulin); ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing; knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing; familiarity with IStat; ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring; knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring; ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborns; knowledge of newborn medication including IV administration and maintenance; knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights; familiarity with radiant warmers; ability to support gynecological teaching and post-operative bladder training; knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching. Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience, minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience, and minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Schedule: Days shift for 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidate must possess demonstrated skills in electronic fetal monitoring, IV procedures, adult and neonatal monitoring, medication administration, and maternal-newborn education.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
