Unit: L&D, Well-Baby Nursery, Postpartum combined to form one unit
# beds: 10 beds
Certs: BLS, NRP, advanced fetal monitoring, NCC certified inpatient OB (RNC-OB) ADV FHM
Ratios: L&D is usually 1 to 1-2, follow AWHONN guidelines, postpartum is 1 to 4 couplet care
EMR: Cerner, Fetal heart monitor is fetal link
Charge Nurse: yes, they will take a pt assignment
Nurse Aides: no
Weekend Requirement: every other
Holidays: work into perm staff rotation
Scrub Color: navy
Tele: phillips
Vents: no
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: no neonatologist, hospitalist has to be available 24/7, 4 OB/GYNs and 2 midwives
IV Team: no
RT 24/7: yes
