Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Women’s Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to laboring patients. You will support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities, ensuring a personalized birth experience that meets the needs and desires of each patient.

Responsibilities

• Caring for patients during labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Circulating in the operating room (OR) during surgical procedures.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilizing advanced skills such as IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, and nitrous oxide management.
• Contributing to couplet care in the postpartum unit, allowing newborns to remain at the bedside.
• Utilizing CPN and Meditech for documentation and patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience providing support during labor and delivery.
• Advanced skills in Spinning Babies and STABLE are helpful.
