Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Gadsden, Alabama.

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetric care to Labor and Delivery patients. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama.
  • Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
  • No reported NURSYS hits.
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Work Schedule

This position requires a day shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Must be willing to float to other units as necessary.
  • The facility has an unspecified number of beds.
  • The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used at the facility is not specified.
  • The dress code and scrub colors will be provided during the onboarding process.
