General Information: Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift Details: Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM, 3 shifts per week Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends required Call Requirements: Discuss during the interview Guaranteed Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 24 Patient Ratios: Estimated 2:1 and 3:1 in OBED triage Unit Staffing Description: High-risk obstetrical unit, labor and delivery Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitors Documentation System: Meditech, CPN Floating Policy: As needed Qualifications: Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in high-risk labor and delivery care Special Skills/Experience: High-risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections, and recovering high acuity patients Preferred Skills: Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate Patient Care Procedures: This unit performs the following procedures: Vaginal deliveries Cesarean sections Dilation and curettage (D&C) Post-delivery recovery care Professional Appearance: Scrub Color: Specific color to be discussed during the interview Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or similar types Hair: Must be neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors. Long hair must be pulled back. Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; visible tattoos will be addressed individually.
