Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Seasonal Contract)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends; no on-call requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide high-quality care to patients in a dynamic maternity environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care, performing assessments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health and well-being of mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and monitor patients during labor and delivery.
• Assist with a variety of procedures including SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and families regarding care and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with unit guidelines and policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Proficient in SVE competency and C-Section circulation.
