Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active AK license and 3+ years of recent L&D experience with travel background.

Details

• Work in a 17-bed LDRP unit handling labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage
• Unit averages about 80 deliveries per month
• 12-hour day shifts
• Floating required to all departments as needed
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• On-call requirement of 3 shifts per 6-week period
• Holiday coverage per unit's needs

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required, or must begin licensure application within 24 hours of acceptance if not already licensed
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
• 3+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting required
• Recent experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 5+ years of RN experience preferred

Additional Information

• Free housing provided for 1 occupant; pet units not available
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts, and must be submitted at time of submittal
• Candidates must live 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks to be eligible
