Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring MT or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license (MT or compact) required, no pending license accepted
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery specialty required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications as appropriate for the unit
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted nursing practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients
• Provide patient education, counseling, and therapeutic support
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system
• Returning staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening required, with results expected within approximately 2 weeks of offer
