Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification and CA RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 11 labor beds, 4 OB Eval beds, 2 OB PACU beds, and 2 ORs
  • Patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on acuity
  • Uses GE fetal monitoring equipment
  • EMR systems include CPN and Meditech
  • 13-week assignment on a 7:00PM-7:00AM night shift schedule
  • Floating to Postpartum-Couplets unit required
  • Weekend shifts required to help fill unit needs
  • No regularly scheduled on-call expected

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM (intermediate or advanced)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred
  • Experience with Couplet Care required if floated
  • Comfortable performing NST, cervical exams, labor management, medication titration, and McRoberts maneuver

Additional Information

  • Manage labor and delivery patients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, organized setting with a high patient volume
  • Hospital-provided infant security scrubs required as part of dress code
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
