Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring CA licensure, fetal monitoring expertise, and C-Section circulating skills.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with 9 LDRs plus 4 beds for triage and outpatient testing
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Uses hospital beds, GE Novii and wired fetal monitors, and OR equipment
• Charts in CPN/Meditech EMR
• Floating required to Mother Baby unit

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Resume required for consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of fetal monitoring experience required
• Experience as a C-Section circulator and in post C-section recovery required
• Vaginal exam competency required
• Experience caring for laboring patients through C-section and vaginal delivery and recovery
• Experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients including gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
• Experience managing obstetrical emergencies including OB hemorrhage
• Experience with newborn care within the first hour of life, including initial breastfeeding latch
• Scrub experience preferred
• NCC certification in Inpatient OB or EFM preferred

Additional Information

• Perform labor and delivery management including vaginal exams
• Conduct outpatient testing such as NST, CST, and BPP
• Support OB Triage, OBED, and MSE
• Assist with versions and cervical cerclage procedures
• Perform outpatient injections
• Candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and collaborative team players
• Navy scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
