Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Charge – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: November 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. This is a 13 or 26-week travel assignment.

Highlights:

• Charge Nurse position in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility
• High-volume unit with an average of 7 deliveries daily, up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• State-of-the-art unit featuring 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms with Epic charting system
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Opportunity to work in Alaska's premier healthcare facility with free parking and scrubs provided
• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission, but license must be in hand for offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Charge Nurse experience required or willingness to train in the charge role
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
