Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Charge – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30); every other weekend required; 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period

Highlights:

• Charge Nurse position in a high-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility
• Comprehensive unit with 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Average of 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Epic charting system with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13 or 26-week assignment with orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted
• Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission but must be in hand for offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Charge Nurse experience required or willingness to train in the charge role
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Ability to float to similar units within scope as needed
