Schedule: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends and holidays; possible call
On-Call: Rotating weekends/holidays as needed
Patterns Healthcare is seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Marshall, Michigan. Join a highly respected Birth Center that delivers over 800 babies annually while providing compassionate, family-centered care in a supportive clinical environment.
Position Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections while providing immediate newborn care.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Educate patients and families throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery/Birthing Center experience (Required)
Experience caring for laboring patients, deliveries (including newborn care), and postpartum mothers and babies (Required)
Active Michigan RN License at the time of submission (Required)
Active AHA BLS Certification (Required)
NRP Certification preferred (Candidates without an active NRP certification will be considered if willing to obtain it)
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
