Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California – situated at nearly 6,200 feet above sea level in a beautiful mountain community

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM start time, 36 guaranteed hours per week. 89-day assignment through December 19, 2026.

Highlights:

• Work in an 8-bed perinatal unit with approximately 300 births annually in a Level III Trauma Center
• Provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum: pre-labor/triage, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and multiples (twins)
• Work independently with significant autonomy; no physician or anesthesia in-house on nights or weekends
• Opportunity to develop advanced skills in neonatal resuscitation and lactation support with training provided
• Join a collaborative team of 3 RNs always staffed on the unit in a supportive, community-focused environment

Requirements:

• Current California Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5+ years preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN or NCC accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred or must complete upon hire
• Strong neonatal resuscitation experience and ability to independently manage emergency situations
• Completion of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
• Must pass oral swab for THC metabolites on first day of assignment
