Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Fetal monitoring knowledge or certification
• Experience providing high-quality, compassionate maternity care
• Ability to support patient choice and individualized birth plans
• Experience with OR circulation and women’s health procedures preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced OB environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
• Support patient-centered, family-focused birth experiences
• Assist with circulating in the OR for cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Perform and support procedures including IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, JADA system use, and nitrous oxide support
• Collaborate closely with midwives, CRNA, OB providers, and the broader women’s services care team
• Float to mother/baby or assist outside the department as needed
• Maintain a high standard of patient safety, clinical quality, and experience throughout every shift
• Contribute to a supportive healthcare team focused on excellent maternity outcomes
