Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

• Labor and Delivery unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Variable scheduling may be required
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• On-call required, one shift per pay period
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, FHM, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, including assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and managing hemorrhage/shock situations
• Experience with fetal monitoring, including use of external and internal fetal monitors, IUPC placement, and spiral electrode placement
• Experience with antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care procedures
• State-issued ID required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages
• Facility delivers over 300 births per month
• Support high-risk antepartum patients and assist with high-risk deliveries
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Perform newborn care duties including APGAR scoring and initial assessments
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within 90 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during Nov-Jan
