Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with high-risk OB and couplet care experience for a day-shift assignment requiring a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• LDRP unit within an acute care hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:45am-7:15pm
• Every third weekend required
• On-call required, two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
• No floating required outside the unit
• Uses Epic for charting and Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week period

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• AWHONN Beginner and Intermediate certification required
• FHM and NRP certification required
• AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience in couplet care and high-risk OB required
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, high-risk deliveries, postpartum couplet care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and infusion pump/drip monitoring
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide labor, delivery, postpartum, and couplet care to patients in a high-risk OB setting
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and antepartum care
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval, subject to unit needs
• First-time travelers considered depending on position needs
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be accepted
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September) all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
